Course Handbook Description:
This introductory course will provide an environment for students to explore visual media utilizing the specialized vocabulary of the film and television industry. Students will develop script and production ideas individually or within a group, compose an outline/proposal, and write a script from their outline. The culminating activity will include video products based on approved scripts. Students will utilize a variety of computer-based digital film editing technologies to produce individual and group video productions.
Course Goal:
Engage students in projects that will encourage creativity, require complex problem solving, and ultimately provide training for employment in video production.
Course Content:
This course will consist of lecture, demonstrations, homework, quizzes, and in-class work. Basic video production practices and skills will be taught. Students will be required to obtain access to internet for specific projects. Topics include:

- Camera Movement
- Lighting Tools
- Creative Lighting
