Course Handbook Description:
This course represents the logical extension of the technical skills and industry workflows examined in the introductory Audio Production course. Students will use knowledge gained from the introductory course to develop more complex projects and will continue to develop new skills with the equipment, operations, methods and techniques used in professional audio production.
Course Goal:
Engage students in projects that will encourage creativity, require complex problem solving, and ultimately provide training for employment in audio production.
Course Content:
This course will consist of lecture, demonstrations, homework, quizzes, and in-class work. Basic audio production practices and skills will be taught. Students will be required to obtain access to internet for specific projects. Topics include:
- Sound & Digital Audio
- Microphones
- DAW Software
- Critical Listening Skills
- Advanced Mixing Techniques
